I hired Podcast Ally, because I wanted to get back into podcasting after “hiding out  the past few years since having kids. Even though I’ve done speaking and podcast interviews in the past, I couldn’t choose between all the different topics I’ve spoken on before, and I was struggling to pick what messaging would work best for the current market.

Podcast Ally’s whole process is golden, and they did a wonderful job distilling all of the ideas and talking points I shared with them into an amazing podcast episode pitch!

Plus getting a look at their process helped me integrate regular podcast pitching into my company’s workflow, too.

Let’s look at all the things getting between you and the interviews that will propel your business forward…

You’re not sure how to find quality podcasts that are putting out content for your ideal audience

You don’t even know where to begin when it comes to figuring out the best way to reach each podcast. DMs? Email? Through their contact forms?

Not to mention how hard it is to write an email promoting yourself and your work — what do you even write to each host to get them to say yes?

Whenever you do decide to sit down and work on your podcast visibility program, something urgent always seems to pop up

You have an idea that you need some other materials (maybe a podcast one sheet?) but you’re not sure where to get started

Bottom line is that learning a new skill like podcast outreach isn’t the best use of your time, and you know that!

It’s no wonder you haven’t gotten around to it yet!!

But you wouldn’t be here now if you didn’t know podcast appearances are worth it.

Whether you’ve just launched your online business, or have grown to the 6-figure mark and beyond, you know how important it is to fill your network with other influencers, get your message in front of the right people, and take action to generate leads.

That’s why booking podcast interviews is still on your to-do list. It might not be done, but that doesn’t mean you’re ready to write off…

The chance to have meaningful conversations about your work on a platform that your audience tunes into every week.

Grow your network with podcast hosts building and nurturing platforms for your ideal audience!

Relationships with podcast hosts who can refer business, invite you to speak on stages and even hire you themselves!

The easiest and best way to test out and refine your messaging and learn to tell better stories — through interviews focused on you and your work.

Your own library of podcast interviews that you can use to warm up leads, encourage more sales and include in book proposals and investor decks.

More social proof to use on your website and sales pages, in the form of “As Seen In” podcast art.

Let’s move “showing up on more of the right shows” into your DONE pile.

There are dozens, if not hundreds, of podcasts reliably going live every week with content for your ideal audiences.

These podcasts are looking for guests like YOU – guests who bring a unique perspective or can teach their audience a new skill.

We know, because we help small business owners book podcasts every day.

In the past seven years, the team at Podcast Ally has booked interviews for our clients on 400 different podcasts, and counting!

We know a thing or two about what it takes to book podcast interviews.

Wouldn’t you love to pick our brains?

What if we could do you one better?

Hi, I’m Brigitte Lyons — founder of Podcast Ally.

This feels like a good place to introduce myself and the rest of the team!

I’ve worked in public relations for 20 years. My experience ranges from going undercover to spy on political hearings for a client (not my finest hour!) to dressing up as a Lotto Ball in the Pride Parade.

Seven years ago now, I found myself asking a traditional PR client, “Would you mind if we also pitched you to some podcasts?”

You can imagine my surprise when we booked that same client on to one of the biggest marketing podcasts out there — Entrepreneurs on Fire — and that she reported MAJOR revenue from the interview.

I realized that podcasts were the future. Our clients were sick and tired of having to talk in sound bites. They craved deeper connection, both with the individual on the other side of the mic and the audience listening in.

I’m now joined by an amazing team of other PR pros, podcast producers and marketing folks, who help our clients do exactly that!

Before working with Podcast Ally I was struggling with how I would present myself to a podcast. I knew being a guest would help me build up an audience for my new business, but I kept thinking, “Why me? Why would a podcaster interview me instead of, for example, my mentor?”

The pre-work and coworking session process helped me start to think through things in a new way and identify the parts of my message that are attractive to a podcast audience.

The way they could take what I was saying and find threads and themes for a solid pitch was absolutely brilliant.

The podcast outreach plan is above and beyond what I ever, ever could have come up with on my own. I’ve been taking advantage of the support to ask for advice on details like landing pages and promotions.

In the first month, I’ve already booked 3 interviews, and I can’t wait to see how this journey continues. Thank you Podcast Ally for giving me the push I needed to get out there!

Being Boss: A Podcast for Creative Entrepreneurs

When you prefer to do your own podcast outreach or keep it in-house, our Podcast Planning Intensive gives you access to our expertise and contacts, so you can start booking podcasts that put you in front of your ideal audience.

Here’s exactly what you get:

It all starts with prep, so we can get to know you, your audience, and your message:

  • When you book a Podcast Planning Intensive, we send over the same onboarding exercises we take our full-service agency clients through to better understand your goals and work
  • You are assigned a lead from our team, who understands your market and drives the planning process.
  • Our podcast research team and account lead go through your pre-work and brainstorm the perfect podcasts for you and start thinking through the messaging that will appeal to them
  • The lead and Brigitte then meet to cull those ideas down into a co-working session with you!

We then get together for a 90-minute co-working session to look at podcasts and develop your interview topics:

    • Once your pre-work is done, you schedule a 90-minute co-working session with your lead and Brigitte (the founder of Podcast Ally)
    • In that session, we will look at the podcasts we’ve handpicked for you to get your input and even start writing pitches together!
    • Don’t worry — the heavy lifting is all done by us. So far, we’ve only received rave reviews about our time together and how fun and affirming it is.

Within a week of that meeting, we deliver your Podcast Visibility Program, which includes:

    • Your custom podcast pitch list that includes 30 podcasts, delivered with contact information and profiles
    • 2 of your very own pitch templates, along with instructions on how to use them
    • A follow-up email and guidance on follow-up best practices
    • Your podcast media kit
    • Your own pitch tracking spreadsheet and recommendations to help your team streamline the booking process

On top of all of this, we give you support as you start booking interviews, so you can make the most of every opportunity. We support you with:

      • Access to Selling with Podcasts, our back-pocket training series to help you nail your podcast interviews, skyrocket your confidence and grow your income ($997 value)
      • 30-days of unlimited Voxer voice chat once the podcast outreach program is delivered, where you can ask us anything from, “How can I tweak my pitch for such-and-such show,” to “Eeek!! I booked my first interview. What advice would you give me!!”

We’d love to take all the hard stuff off your plate, so it’s easy for you to connect.

If you don’t want to watch the whole video, skip to 3:04 to hear Nicole talk about what it was like to work with us, or 5:33 where she talks about results!

As the co-founder of a popular podcast for creative entrepreneurs, I get between 10-15 pitches per week.

Usually about 10 are complete junk. The small bit left are decent, maybe even bordering on slightly interesting. Brigitte’s pitch was AMAZING.

So much so that I not only booked all the guests she would send me as soon as possible, but a few weeks later I begged her to take me on as a client! Anyone who can win me over like that is someone I want to learn from and grow with.

          Christina Scalera

Co-host, Creative Empire and Founder of The Contract Shop

One of the biggest things I’ve learned from Brigitte is that by pitching my products and stories to podcasts, I’m not bothering the person I’m pitching. I’m helping them do their job and bring exciting new content to their listeners!

When I was interviewed on the She Percolates podcast, they told me before and after it aired how much they appreciated me sharing my story with them.

          Dana Batho

          Cross Stitch Designer

Podcast Ally is one of the only sources of guest referrals I trust, because it’s clear that Brigitte and her team actually take the time to listen to my show, understand my audience and make a connection to how the guest can serve my people.

That kind of consideration is rare!

I appreciate that their recommendations are always customized to my show.

          Dr. Michelle Mazur

          Host, The Rebel Uprising Podcast

Podcast Ally sends the best guests! It’s very clear that they take the time to do the research to match their guests up with podcasts that align with their message and style.

I love seeing their submissions come through and have interviewed everyone they’ve sent my way!

          Laura Wallace

          Host, The Gutsy Podcast

I wanted to let you know that it’s encouraging to have someone suggest a guest for my podcast, who actually thinks about what my podcast might want before they ask.

This puts you guys ahead of a lot of the other people who pitch to me!

          Frequently Asked Questions

When can I Schedule the co-working call with your team?

You will get a scheduling link within 10 minutes of submitting payment. We’ve made times available on Wednesday and Thursday between 11 am and 5 pm Eastern.

If these time frames don’t work for you, please contact support@podcastally.com, and we’ll see if we can accommodate a different time slot.

How long will the pre-work take me?

You’ll be going through the exact onboarding process we use to get results for our agency clients. They report that this pre-work typically takes 90 minutes – 2 hours to complete.

What kind of person gets the most benefit out of podcast appearances?

This is a really good question. Our priority is only taking on folks who will get a lot of benefit from working with us. Podcasts are perfect for:

          • Businesses who do great work and have a strong point-of-view. Examples of our most successful clients include: a software founder who implemented 4-day work week and wanted to share the results; a book coach with a strong message about the changes in the publishing industry; non-fiction authors, especially those writing about leadership, personal development and wellness; and a coach who helps therapists transition out of private practice
          • Businesses that have evergreen products or consistent launch cycles — and need sources of highly qualified leads ready to buy now.
          • Thought leaders who could get the interviews themselves, but know they’re better off focused on other priorities and want to be sure their reputation is in good hands.
          • Authors and speakers looking to grow their reach and connect with new audiences.
          • Anyone looking to build their network — podcasters are the new influencers!

I have an assistant… Can they help with this process?

Yes, for sure! We find that with a little support, assistants can be a great asset in outreach. We can give you the plan and the systems for managing the outreach and help you identify the best way to get  them involved.

I’m preparing for a launch within the next 2-3 months. Will you be able to help me get leads in time to help me sell it out?

No. We generally recommend podcast outreach for folks with evergreen offers or multiple launches throughout the year — it’s best for ongoing lead gen and networking. We do also work with authors, and need 8 months lead time minimum to line up book launch coverage.

Can you guarantee that I’ll book podcast appearances?

No. That’s just not how PR works. That said, if we go through your pre-work and don’t believe we can help you get booked, we will refund your money in full.

While it’s impossible to guarantee results with an organic outreach program, we track all our results and set benchmarks based on past performance to ensure we’re performing at our highest level.

Over 7 years of working with podcasters in industries ranging from entrepreneurship to health and wellness to personal development, we’ve learned what podcasts are looking for in guests. We will only take the next step if we believe we can deliver.

How great would it be to get support from people doing this work every day?
